Chuk Obiechefu is the CEO and Managing Attorney of Obi Law Group. He believes strong families are the cornerstone of strong communities, the world over. This conviction fuels his dedication to educating and empowering clients through proactive legal guidance in estate planning and complex family matters.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Chuk is a first-generation Nigerian-American who combines his diverse background with his legal expertise. Chuk focused his studies in International Relations at Georgia State University for his undergraduate degree, and went on to graduate University of Georgia School of Law. In law school he gained an affinity for family law issues after clerking for family court judges and estate planning law firms. He began his professional career working for large companies in banking, finance, and real estate, gaining invaluable insights on finance, real estate, asset management, and the utility of strategic planning for individuals and businesses.
Now at Obi Law Group, Chuk leverages his wealth of experience to educate and advise clients on protecting their families, businesses, and assets, here in the United States and internationally. He specializes in counseling professionals, entrepreneurs, and families in general business and complex family law matters, and related family immigration solutions.
Leveraging a seasoned team of attorneys, Chuk ensures his clients receive comprehensive legal support. The Obi Law Group ethos is built on personalized attention, clear communication, and unwavering commitment to achieving his clients’ legal objectives.

Marcus Whitaker is the founder and managing member of Ground Up Law Group and Ground Up Sports and Entertainment, a sports agency based in South Florida, with operations across the U.S. He is a veteran sports agent and licensed attorney who provides integral assistance in OLG's Business and Intellectual Property Practice.
As a former college, professional athlete, and pro athlete trainer, Marcus has decades of experience navigating the sports industry and managing the careers and business interests of athletes and entertainers. Marcus is one of the few dedicated sports and entertainment lawyers providing high quality, concierge level representation to the top athletes and entertainers.
Marcus also leverages his experience as a pro athlete trainer and in athlete development to assist clients in navigating their athletic and entertainment careers. He is a licensed NBA, NCAA, and FIBA agent, and seasoned contract negotiator and dealmaker. Marcus is one of the few attorneys in the country building capacity in the burgeoning field of Name, Image, and Likeness licensing.

Drew Jacobs is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Jacobs Counsel LLC and a member of the Ground Up Sports and Entertainment agency. Jacobs is currently licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Ohio, pending New York admission, and is a licensed National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) Contract Advisor.
Jacobs’ practice focuses on providing a host of transactional legal services to businesses, entrepreneurs, and high-performing individuals as a trusted advisor. His firm focuses on estate planning & asset protection, as well as business general counsel services such as entity selection, business formation, contract drafting & negotiation, and a broad spectrum of business transactions. He has worked with numerous high-achieving individuals and families on a variety of estate planning matters. Moreover, he has counseled many businesses and entrepreneurs on a host of business legal needs.
Jacobs attended Seton Hall University School of Law. During his time at Seton Hall, he served as the Symposium Editor of the Seton Hall Law School Legislative Journal. Jacobs serves as a consultant for Seton Hall Law School to develop their sports, entertainment, and gaming law program. As a consultant, Jacobs fortified the success of the first Symposium by hosting the second annual Sports Law Symposium, focusing on Social Justice in Sports.
